" This relic, approximately one foot-long, is actually the mummified head of an unknown fiend. It is encrusted with enormous gems and priceless pearls, and its teeth and skull are partially made of gold and adamantium. It is most likely the remains of an ancient archdevil who ruled the infernal plane of Minauros, before Mammon seized control of this level. The circumstances of his death and the reasons for the creation of this artifact remain unclear, but he may have been overthrown by Asmodeus himself.

Any non-evil creature within a few meters of the skull might become malevolent. Depending on the individual's will, several days may pass before this personality change occurs, but it is inevitable.
The Skull of Greed can grant a wish to its wielder, provided that the wish is linked to some form of selfish and personal gain (such as becoming the absolute ruler of a nation, obtaining an exorbitant sum of money, or creating a luxurious, unassailable citadel). The artifact seems to appear naturally to people predisposed to offer this kind of wish.

However, the wish granted ineluctably leads to the downfall of its possessor. Legends tell of a man capable of turning everything he touched into pure gold, but who, rendered unable to eat or drink, died in just a few days; others tell of a thief who became king, assassinated by his most loyal general to seize power. The skull mysteriously disappears after the death of its former bearer, only to reappear in another part of the multiverse after a certain amount of time."
